Two CRPF jawans have been killed during an encounter between the Maoists and the police at Laxmantola in Giridih district, a senior police officer said on Friday.
At least seven policemen were killed and six others were injured in a Maoist land-mine blast in Chattarpur area of Palamu in Jharkhand.
Though earlier it was suspected to be a landmine blast, later prima facie it seemed the explosives were hidden in a box which exploded during a search.
